Course Information
In the Groundwork Series, I will give you different exercises to practice with your horse. Whenever we work with horses, it’s important to be aware of what stage our horse is in, because throughout the exercises, we have to be capable to switch in our questioning depending on their stage.
The different stages a horse can be in and what we focus on are:
I am giving you different exercises, but we shouldn’t focus on the exercises itself. We have to focus on the feeling we give our horses throughout the exercises. It’s not about the execution of the exercises, it’s about feeling the connection through your questions and noticing what your horse is thinking about. Therefor you have to become aware of what stage your horse is in, to ask the appropriate question. What I search for in an exercise depends on what stage the horse is in. This can differ from day to day, minute to minute. So you have to practice your feel and watch the signals of your horse carefully to be able to notice what stage your horse is in and ask the right question. That’s what I’ll teach you in this course.
In this series I’ll show you how to notice what stage your horse is in. I teach you what to look for in each exercise, depending on their stage, and how to ask the different groundwork questions through understandable body language. If you need more help in reading your horses signs, visit the Core Elements Course.
After following the Groundwork Series, continue your journey with the Riding Series and learn how to develop a solid basis starting from a connection. This course teaches you the basic steps of riding with connection.
In the “older” Groundwork & Riding videos you might just find that extra bit of clarification you might be looking for, so I kept them in this course for you to watch as well in the “Extras from the Archives” section.
